We are on the lookout for Support Workers who are calm, patient, and resilient. You will need to be able to drive and have a consistent approach to assisting the people we support to engage in the interests they love.
As a support worker, you will be part of an experienced staff team working within a busy and vibrant service where no two days are the same.
Support worker duties include:

Daily activities such as cooking meals, basic cleaning tasks, medication administration (after completing relevant training), food shopping with the people we support.
Providing support for offsite activities such as going to the gym, bowling, sensory room, historic gardens and any other interests and appointments.
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people you will take care of.
Helping the people you will assist plan towards and achieve both short and long term aims.
Going away on seaside and caravan staycations with the people we support, helping them to live their best life
5 per week and are willing to work on a shift rota basis, covering mornings, evenings, and weekends.
You will work closely with the registered manager, deputy manager and your seniors to ensure that we are delivering the best person-centred care, ensuring outstanding delivery of support in line with our vision; inclusive communities where people with dementia, autism, and learning disabilities and physical disabilities participate as equal citizens.
As a support worker you’ll be part of a team that includes support from a positive behaviour support consultant. This will assist you with your own leadership and interactions that will in turn enable people to move forward in their lives creating community connections, friends, hobbies, interests, and work. Being passionate, creative and values led will really help you in achieving the small and bigger goals and outcomes that we all see as part of a safe, happy, healthy and empowering life. You will be driving the person we support their car, so full UK clean drivers license is essential for this role.
Who will you be supporting?
Jane* Has her own mobility car and loves going out for long drives. Jack* is one of the most loving and caring people we support. He loves going on adventures on the train, watching the airplanes at the local airport. Has a huge collection of fans that he likes to carry with him around. He has a great sense of humour and a cheeky laugh to go with it and can be very affectionate asking for head massages and scratches, he loves sensory interaction.
Joseph* He loves outdoor activities like gardening, taking a picnic and a flask with lots of coffee for a long walks. Likes to ride around buses for hours and he is the life of the party
Josh* He loves spending time on his own watching old game shows. Sometimes he brings those game shows to life by playing them with his support team. When he does decide to go out, his favourite activity is to go to the local shop to buy sausage rolls and race back with his support staff and of course he has to always win
She loves working on the farm with the animals and collecting eggs of the chickens during the week and on weekends likes to spend her time going to dog shows, eco friendly shops and visiting her family
