Occupational Hygienist

Health & Safety professional responsible for advising a client on health & safety issues relating to a large construction projects, from project initiation to completion.
Supporting business unit directors in delivering business objectives;
Monitoring and working with the Principal Designer appointed to complete the project;
Attending regular meetings with the design team, client, principal designer and principal contractor;
Providing health and safety advice, support and assistance to the project team
Delivering a high quality service which ensures that services meet our client’s requirement;
Managing the client’s health safety obligations on the project to deliver a high quality service;
Advising and assisting the client with their duties under the CDM regulations and other construction related health and safety standards, regulations and legislations;
Assisting with the coordination of health and safety aspects of design work;
Cooperating with others involved with the project;
Facilitating good communication between the client, designers and contractors;
Liaising with the project design team regarding pre construction design work and risk mitigation
Liaising with the principal contractor regarding ongoing design work;
Advising directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or will arise, on projects; Opportunities to develop and grow your career

The role can include working on high profile singular projects, or multiple smaller rollout frameworks.
Sound construction related health and safety management experience post Tech IOSH qualification;
Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience of construction related health and safety management;
Thorough understanding of health and safety legislation relating to construction;
Good problem solving, negotiating skills, financial and numeracy management skills;
Competent ICT skills, with a high level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
NEBOSH Construction and General Certificates/Tech IOSH minimum (will be considered with right amount of experience and other qualifications)
NEBOSH Diploma/CMIOSH preferred.
