Shift basedEngineering Technicians

will be on a 3-shift or earlies andlates pattern within the Packing function. Shift based technicians arepredominantly assigned to lines and will be responsible for drivingline performance (corrective/breakdown maintenance and proactive lineimprovements).nAlso by supporting and coaching operators to make therequired interventions and adjustments to maximise GE. By working atsource with Operators it enhances improvements to be made.nBe a partof the reliability improvement team by working closely with themaintenance planning team and the production engineering (CI) team toprioritise projects and initiatives to increase GE and MTBF.nSite wideresponsibility for corrective actions in all areas as required.nDaysbased Engineering Technicians

will have a bias on plannedmaintenance, preventative and curative as opposed to reactiveissues.nWorking in these roles will involve the following:nSafety isparamount to all that we do: we work safely or not at all, so this isengrained in all Engineering Technicians, and work within JDE safetystandards. Quality / food safety is also paramount, to ensureproduction targets are met and that all lines and areas conform toquality standardsnTo undertake Preventative Maintenance (PM),Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and breakdown work as requirednTake anactive part in planned maintenance and repair of Plant andEquipmentnBe part of the site responsible persons team (to includepart of the Fire response team for siteand electrically trained to asuitable level)nTo work as a close-knit team to actively drive theresolution of plant breakdowns and resolve running issues, and operatewith a high level of autonomynSupport and drive packing line formatchange overs and identify improvements to reduce the change over timein futurenTo actively lead and participate in CI & GE improvementactivitiesnTo assist, support and implement Project work whenrequired. Be a link between the project and the maintenance teamthrough, for example, implementing new PMs for new equipment andestablishing correct spares coverage levels.nMaintain good levels ofhousekeeping in all areasnTo attend and actively participate inOPS/production meetings and RCA sessions. Report plant status andidentify escalations as requirednTo actively support the operationalteam to meet volume demandsnActive use of SAP to log breakdown data,correctives and booking parts out of StoresnTake accountability foryour own ongoing development with a demonstratableplannQualifications

Time served apprenticeship in mechanical,electrical discipline or be multiskillednExpectation to become fullymulti-skillednKnowledge & experience of all relevant technologies andequipmentnMinimum of Higher National Certificate (HNC) or equivalentqualification in engineeringnExperience and use of SAP maintenanceprogrammenDemonstrate good understanding of relevant industrystandards for Mechanical & Electrical engineeringnAs part of a smallworking group the successful applicant will be expected to beself-motivated, a team player, flexible and prepared to take on arange of responsibilities without the need for supervisionnKnowledgeof PLC and HMI programming and associated networks would be anadvantage
