We are looking to appoint a Heating Engineer and Maintenance Personto join our maintenance team here at Kings College School. The maintenance team (5 members in all) is responsible for the general condition and upkeep of all the Schools infrastructure, which includes the Kings College School main campus and its satellite and residential properties consisting of the following; Kingsway sports fields and pavilion, the boathouse and WCPS with a selection of residential properties.
To react to day-to-day maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager and via the schools maintenance ticket system
To undertake pre-planned maintenance checks and repair works
Maintaining the Schools water, plumbing and heating systems and have an active approach to managing the required legionella compliance tasks
Undertaking appropriate water, plumbing and heating improvements and replacements as directed by the Maintenance Manager
Undertaking daily, weekly and monthly water monitoring checks
Undertaking other maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager i.e. lock changes, window opener replacements and plant/AC investigation
Assisting with the monthly checking of water, electric and gas meters
Assisting and chaperoning external contractors with appropriate tasks as required
Assisting with fire emergencies by carrying out duties as outlined in the Schools policies
Assisting in out of hours emergency water/ plumbing/heating repairs as required in any of the school properties
Maintaining a safe and tidy workshop
ACS qualified, City & Guilds or NVQ in Heating & Ventilating
Flexibility to work weekends to cover events and sickness as required by the Maintenance Manager
Good IT skills conversant with MS Office
Driving licence essential
