Who we are looking for

An Infrastructure Project Manager, who will be responsible for planning, executing and delivering technological change to the platform delivery portfolio.

Working on our platform delivery portfolio, you will deliver projects that support the development of our new products and the ongoing Business operation.

You will be responsible for running a variety of different projects. Examples of the types of projects you may be required to deliver are; proof of concepts for new technologies, refreshing and replacing existing platforms, operating systems and services, creating, expanding and decommissioning datacentres, as well as Business critical service migrations.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Familiarity in dealing directly with technical functions, including architecture, database, network and security, infrastructure platforms, IT operations, software development, test and release management.
  • Broad knowledge of project management terminology, tools and techniques.
  • Pragmatic delivery approach, giving full consideration of the most efficient and effective way to plan and release solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide messages that are clearly understood by adopting a range of styles, tools and techniques that are appropriate to the audience and the nature of the information.
  • Ability to influence and manage a range of relationships.
  • Working directly with appointed technical leads and project team members to provide support and direction as required, contributing towards overall project objectives.
  • Managing changes in scope and priorities in an effective and controlled manner.
  • Ability to plan and balance priorities whilst working towards deadlines.
  • Understanding and experience of a variety of test approaches for example, functional and non-functional.

Main Responsibilities

  • Taking full ownership of running projects from initiation through to delivery and closure, within agreed timescales.
  • Having full responsibility for ensuring all projects are resourced, planned and controlled correctly.
  • Utilising the tools necessary to manage scope, time, risk and quality.
  • Working with Business and platform stakeholders to define scope and solutions of projects, whilst resolving issues as necessary.
  • Providing lessons learned and activity based actions to improve the department’s delivery capability following delivery.
  • Ensuring relevant project stakeholders are engaged appropriately.
