Experienced ecologist looking to make the step into a director position?
We are looking for a dynamic Associate Director to lead our clients forward-thinking Ecology team.
Based in the Gloucestershire Head Office and be part of a consultancy that’s looking to disrupt the landscape of ecological services in the UK
You'll be joining a business that has spent over 20 years building a reputation for innovation, excellence, and practical solutions.
You'll be a leader within a multidisciplinary consultancy, delivering impactful projects across commercial, public, and private sectors.
Projects range from nationally significant infrastructure developments to cutting-edge renewable energy schemes. Working with us means you’ll gain experience across all scales, with opportunities to lead on pioneering initiatives that enhance biodiversity and sustainability.
The Role
This opportunity is perfect for an experienced Principal Ecologist looking to step up, or an early-career Associate ready to take on a senior leadership position.
You’ll work closely with our Technical Director to oversee the smooth running of our Ecology team, drive technical excellence, and guide complex projects to success.
Your day-to-day
- Providing expert technical reviews and supporting Principals with the delivery of large-scale projects
- Managing and mentoring the Ecology team, ensuring efficient project delivery and quality control
- Leading diverse and high-profile projects, including BNG initiatives, natural flood management, habitat banking, and major infrastructure developments
- Collaborating closely with the Head of Habitats to develop innovative and effective mitigation and enhancement schemes
About you
- Strong technical knowledge and expertise in ecological consultancy.
- Proven ability to deliver robust technical reviews and guide complex projects.
- Evidence of strong project management skills and a strategic mindset.
- Experience in team leadership and management.
