Shift Engineer We are looking for a talented and passionate Shift Engineer to join a fantastic Engineering team at The Lanesborough. As a Shift Engineer you will be an exceptional team player and have a passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience. Under the general guidance and supervision of the Head of Engineering and you will maintain and repair our guestroom facilities and public/ back of house area facilities within the property to achieve optimum guest comfort whilst maintaining cost to a minimum. Please be aware that you will be required to work a variety of shifts (including day and night shifts). Duties and responsibilities for the

Shift Engineer

include: Responsible for the day to day maintenance of the hotels services and associated plant. Ensuring that any fault likely to cause a health & safety hazard is isolated and that such equipment is left in a complete safe condition with the appropriate warning notices attached, as per the Lanesborough Lock-out & Tag system. Responsible for the efficient maintenance and repair of defects reported, and handing over any additional items to the late Shift Engineer for further action if necessary. In conjunction with the Shift Engineers, maintain stock levels and ensure materials are not wasted. Responsible for maintaining an accurate record of the duties carried out in the respective log books. Responsible for repairing and servicing various types of units and systems which are controlled or partly controlled by an electrical service. Work and plan with the Chief Engineer on a planned preventative maintenance program which fulfils the Plant/equipment requirements and property needs The ideal

Shift Engineer

would be able to demonstrate the following attributes Proven track record of previous engineering experience within an Engineering Department preferably (but not essential) working either in the hospitality industry, or a similar facilities/building maintenance role. An Engineering Trade/Qualifications is preferred or having serving served a full recognised apprenticeship with City and Guilds or higher equivalent. We are looking for a team of Shift Engineers and require electrical or mechanical experience and/or qualifications.
