Basement Contracts Manager Required

  • Salary - £80k - £100k
  • Location - West London
My client is looking to hire a contracts manager to report directly to the managing director. My client are Specialists in the more complicated areas of construction, who offer a comprehensive range of contracting services, including façade retention and temporary works, basement construction and structural alterations. Responsibilities
  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
  • Responsible for Construction Programmes and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
  • Meet contractual conditions on performance
  • Review and monitor progress and weekly reports
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences
  • Analyse, manage and mitigate risks
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
  • Ensure company standards and quality is being met
  • Reporting directly to company Directors
Requirements
  • Proven working experience in construction management
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Excellent time and project management skills
