This is a full-time on-site role for a Maintenance Engineer at BarthHaas UK in Paddock Wood. The Maintenance Engineer will work closely with Production and be responsible for performing equipment maintenance, conducting maintenance engineering activities, and repairing and conducting preventive and reactive maintenance on machinery. The role will also involve electrical maintenance tasks. We would encourage you to use your Engineering skills and experience to develop solutions and support continuous improvement activities to optimise our processing performance. Part of the role will be supporting the Engineering Manager, and the projects team, with new equipment installation. This will involve an element of industrial wiring.
60/40 electrical bias preferred.
~ Engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship with HNC, ONC or equivalent.
~Two shift system earlies and lates. Occasional weekends at overtime rates.
~ Practical electrical and mechanical experience within a manufacturing environment.
~ Be able to rapidly diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical control and instrumentation faults.
~ Liaising with suppliers and third-party resources to carry our preventative and reactive maintenance.
Pipework water, steam, air, pressured, chemical
Food grade areas and appreciation of HACCP systems.
Computer literate Outlook, Excel, Word etc
