As a Senior Cost Engineer, you will support Project Engineers and Discipline Engineers in the successful delivery for your assigned scopes – on time and within budget. You will also prepare monthly Cost Reports for the client, Project Phase Level reports, and Discipline-level reports.

In your first few weeks in this Senior Cost Engineer role, you can expect to:

  • Facilitate internal cost review sessions with the Project Manager to ensure accurate forecasting and phasing, within budget
  • Provide supporting narrative to Cost Reports for your assigned scopes
  • Support with identifying potential overspends and action ‘Potential Change Orders’ to ensure timely and efficient management of change
  • Monitor and control cost commitments and expenditure
  • Liaise with Planning as required to ensure accuracy of cost phasing and forecasting
  • Liaise with Engineering, Procurement and Construction functions to maintain awareness of scope activities and their impact on budget, schedule, and cost forecast.

  • Experience in Brown field Modifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient knowledge in Mpower or other Cost software and related principles, tools and techniques, including budgeting, forecasting and cash flow
  • Understanding of project management principles.
