They employ thousands of people globally, and are an integral part of an instantly recognisable technology group.The Role - Manufacturing EngineerThis market-leading manufacturer has exciting opportunities for Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers or Production Engineers to work within a highly motivated manufacturing and process engineering team.As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support their production operations, processes, NPI, engineering change and capital/value stream projects.Responsibilities include: Enabling manufacturing processes within one of our three manufacturing cost centres through the application of Manufacturing and process engineering knowledge, skill and methodsWorking in a team of engineers and operations to collaboratively manage quality, productivity and outputOwning and addressing varied manufacturing and process problems both internally and externally within the extended supply chain and maintaining our zero-harm cultureDeveloping and implementing new processes and manufacturing equipment to enable their world-leading new products and best-in-class continuous improvementDeveloping new processes and equipment to enable their new product introduction (NPI) Program to be successful.Solving manufacturing problems to resolve internal and external process issues and maintain our zero-harm culture in the process.Managing Capital investment and infrastructure projects, from functional specification creation, through vendor selection, commissioning and manufacturing release.Your Background - Manufacturing EngineerTo be considered for these exciting opportunities, you should be able demonstrate the following experience:A degree in Engineering, Science, manufacturing (or a related subject) or extensive equivalent experiencetechnical experience in manufacturing/process engineeringProven problem-solving skills demonstrating ownership and structured thinking capabilitiesInclusive communication skills, as you will be required to communicate at all levels.Experience in taking the lead on process development projectsAble to demonstrate in detail, how you structured those developments / improvements, what methodology you would use (and how and why).Good track record of personally implementing substantial improvement activities within budget constraints and challenging timescales.Experienced in the use of tools to facilitate effective problem solving within a lean environmentIf you have excellent communication skills, can effectively manage and solve a wide range of complex technical issues, we would love to hear from you.The Benefits - Manufacturing EngineerIn return for your endeavour, my client is offering an excellent training and induction programme, competitive salary and benefits, introduction to the latest lean manufacturing methodologies and the opportunity to progress your career within one of the world’s largest and most innovative technology groups.This vacancy is being advertised by TRS Consulting (UK) Limited.
