Project Design Engineer

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding role as a Senior Project Designer in the electricity sector? If so, you might be interested in joining UK Power Networks, one of the largest distribution network operators in the UK, as part of the Competition in Connections (CiC) team based in Maidstone.
As a Senior Project Designer, you will manage and coordinate a large portfolio of new connection and network alteration projects designed and installed by Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) across all three license areas in UK Power Networks footprint.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Higher National Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, an understanding of UK Power Networks' electrical distribution system, and an awareness of the broader CiC market and the regulatory obligations.
You will also need to be able and willing to travel between the core UKPN office locations. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £76,229 + car/allowance and a bonus of 3%, as well as a range of additional benefits, such as generous personal pension plan, tenancy loan deposit scheme, tax efficient benefits, occupational health support, discounted access to sports and social clubs, employee assistance programme, and more. You will also have the opportunity to work in a blended mode after probationary period, with 3 days in the office and 2 remote.
