Our client is a leading-edge design practice in the commercial and retail interior design sector, with work across the UK and Europe. Based in Worcestershire, the team is a collective of forward-thinking, multidisciplinary designers.

Now entering their 12th year, our client continues to expand and is going to be looking for an Associate Interior Designer to join the current team of 5. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to lead creative projects, inspire the team, and leave your mark on a company at the forefront of commercial design.

This role is primarily office-based, so you will ideally need to be based nearby or open to commuting.

RELOCATORS WELCOME

The RESPONSIBILITIES for this role include:

  • Producing high-quality project design deliverables from concept generation through to completion.
  • Working directly with the Managing Partner on tasks and deliverables and will oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Setting milestone dates for the issue of design documentation, and acting as a positive role model to others, supporting the team and company culture.
  • You will demonstrate, through every aspect of who you are, a passionate love of design, art, and beauty, and be responsible for delivering human-centered design environments.
  • You will encourage and promote your design passion through mentoring, providing help and guidance on any design-based queries to the design team.
  • You will be confident and knowledgeable in the drivers behind our design ethos to communicate, educate, and inspire both internally and externally.

REQUIREMENTS of the role:

  • At least 10 years experience in designing and delivering commercial retail & hospitality projects.
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D Vectorworks.
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of BIM protocols is advantageous.
  • Experience of presenting design ideas and strategies.
  • Proven experience of handling projects from concept to completion.
  • Experience and confidence in client and stakeholder liaison.
