You will be a full stack Developer looking for a role where the breadth of development is wide meaning there is a lot of variety in your day to day. You'll be joining a team who strive to push the edge, be passionate about technology, a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and be looking to join an award-winning technology company who are driving innovate change in their market space.
Your responsibilities will include:
● Working closely with product owners, business analysts and quality assurance to design, develop, test and implement applications
● Writing database SQL queries, functions and stored procedures
● Database design, performance analysis, and optimisation
● Developing web applications in C# .NET in MVC using Razor and Python
● Strong understanding of UI/UX design concepts and methodologies
● Strong understanding of UI accessibility
● Writing high quality and well documented code
● Identifying, diagnosing and resolving issues
● Accurately estimating development tasks
● Communicating with technical and non-technical users to understand requirements and demonstrate system functionality
● Managing and maintaining various systems environments as required
● Promoting solutions to various system environments as required
● Supporting disaster recovery tasks as required
About you:
Proven experience working in C# .NET environments, implementing Web applications and services (ideally 3-5 years+)
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or comparable
Proficiency in writing SQL queries and using Microsoft SQL Server
Experience with C# using Visual Studio 2017 or newer, MVC using Razor and Entity Framework
UI and scripting technologies including CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JSON, jQuery
Experienced with all ancillary technologies necessary for Internet applications: TCP/IP.
Web services, AJAX, REST and SOAP API’s
Software development lifecycle and methodologies
TFS/Azure DevOps or similar project/iteration management task and bug tracking solutions
Although not essential experience with any or all of the below areas would be advantageous:
Using Postman/SoapUI
Proficiency in developing unit tests using Xunit, Junit, MSTest
Security concepts and approaches including basic authentication, OAuth and encryption
Ability to use version control software such as GIT and SVN
Scrum/Agile development methodologies

Recruitment Process

If your application is successful, you will be invited to a short telephone screening call with a member of our HR team. This is an informal conversation to find out a little more about you and your expectations ahead of potentially moving on to a formal interview.
If you are invited to an interview, this may be carried out at our Bournemouth office, or online via a video call depending on your location. Interviews are conducted with the line manager for this role. A second interview may be required depending on the specific job role and may be attended by a member of senior management where required. Don’t worry though, we’re all very friendly
