Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Functional Safety Calibration Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, your responsibilities include:

  1. Calibrate and implement functional safety strategies and requirements for diesel vehicle systems, including engine control units (ECUs), sensors, and actuators.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to calibrate and define safety requirements for achieving vehicle system objectives.
  3. Develop and execute calibration plans and test protocols to validate functional safety features.
  4. Conduct on-road testing and validation of vehicle reaction functions.
  5. Analyse test data and performance metrics to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
  6. Work closely with Software teams to implement calibration changes and enhancements.
Qualifications:

Knowledge of engine technology and vehicle dynamics. Significant experience in functional safety calibration for automotive applications. Proficiency with engine calibration tools and simulation tools (INCA, ATI-Vision, etc.). Strong understanding of functional safety principles and standards, including ISO 26262. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across departments and disciplines. Knowledge of diesel engine emissions control systems preferred. Experience in using Matlab or other rule-based scripts is preferred. Full B UK Driving License.
