Eames Consulting are currently partnered with a leading Insurance company based in Aylesbury. They are currently seeking a talented IT Application Support Analyst who will be responsible for maintaining and supporting software applications used by the organization. This role involves monitoring applications, identifying and resolving issues, and working closely with other IT teams and business units to ensure applications meet the needs of the organization.

Monitor the performance and stability of applications.
Respond to and resolve application issues reported by users or detected by monitoring tools.
Provide technical support and assistance to users experiencing application-related problems.
Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring issues.
Collaborate with developers and other IT teams to implement fixes and enhancements.
Assist in the planning and execution of application upgrades and patches.
Create and maintain documentation for application configurations, processes, and procedures.
Conduct training sessions and provide support to end-users on the effective use of applications.
Develop user manuals, FAQs, and other support materials.
Monitor application performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Optimize application configurations and processes to enhance performance and efficiency.
Ensure applications comply with organizational security policies and standards.
Implement and maintain security controls to protect application data.
Liaise with business units to understand their needs and requirements.
Work collaboratively with the IT team to support overall IT objectives.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Prior experience in application support, IT support, or a related role.
Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and databases (SQL, Oracle, etc.).
Familiarity with ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
Basic programming or scripting skills may be beneficial.
Financial services or Insurance background is preferred but not a must.
