ERM Certification and Verification Services (ERM CVS) , arapidly growing global Business Unit within ERM Group, is seeking amotivated Assurance Assessor to lead assurance engagements withmultinational clients across a range of sectors. Weare looking to add an enthusiastic ESG Assurance Assessor toour EMEA/NA based Corporate Assurance team. The successful candidatewill play a key role in providing 3rd party assurance of GHG/ESGinformation with multinational clients across a wide range of sectors.

We will consider applications from candidates with at least adegree level education in a sustainability or audit related field. 2-4years experience with and/or understanding of assurance principles andprocedures, subject matter experience in GHG/ESG information and data,and knowledge of climate change and sustainability reporting isrequired . The successful candidate will also have strong dataanalytics skills (preferably in Excel).

MAIN AREAS OFINVOLVEMENT:

Support Project Managers with day today delivery of 3rd party assurance of GHG/ESG informationengagements.

Take responsibility for performingassurance procedures across a range of projects including mediaresearch, analytical data review, evidence collection, site visits anddisclosure review, under the guidance of project managers.

Maintain documentation and project files in line withindependent assurance standards and internal quality requirements.

Support more senior colleagues during client headoffice and site level visits, and occasionally act in the leadassessor role under the guidance of a more senior colleague.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

The successfulcandidate must have proven ability in data and spreadsheet analysis(use of Microsoft Excel) and demonstrable writing and communicationskills. In addition, candidates will ideally demonstrate thefollowing:

Ability to support and manage tasks acrossmultiple projects in parallel to meet client expectations and deliverydeadlines with occasional responsibilities for supporting more juniorcolleagues in completion of the same.

Awillingness and ability to learn quickly and contributeenthusiastically to our growing business, and ability to contribute tothe technical development of more junior staff.

Be a team player with a high degree of self-motivation.

A broad interest in sustainability and societal challengeswith an understanding of sustainability (business) issues (e.g.,governance, environment, health and safety, human rights, supply chainmanagement and community relations.

Willingnessto travel for visits to client head offices and operational sites,sometimes at short notice (typically concentrated January – May). 

Demonstrate knowledge of sustainability and GHGreporting, for example GRI Standards, GHG Protocol, ISSB, CDP, DJSI,TCFD and SDGs.

Demonstrate knowledge orexperience of auditing or assurance standards used forsustainability/GHG reporting (e.g. ISAE3000, ISAE3410, ISO14064:3,PCAOB Attestation Standards). 

Technicalknowledge of environmental impacts and emissions including climatechange and GHG. 

Some experience of being clientfacing with an appreciation for maintaining and developing clientrelationships.
