Youth Worker – Social Prescribing 111- 16 to 21 hours – REF 0505
We are looking to expand our Emergency Department and Social Prescribing Youth Work offer and are excited to offer a position for an addition al Youth Worker – Social Prescribing 111 to join our team.
No Limits is the leading youth services charity in Southampton, supporting children and young people in the city and across Hampshire.

Our growing team of Youth Workers are caring, collaborative and courageous professionals, who are committed to empowering children and young people to achieve positive changes in their lives. Our unique service delivery model for 111 Social Prescribing aims to support all children and young people who have called 111 for support primarily with their mental health and wellbeing.
The successful applicants will provide direct support to children and young people in the community by helping the young person to connect with specialist support and other community services through Social Prescribing.
To apply for the post, you must have a passion for supporting children and young people, be a strong communicator and have experience of working with children and young people , particularly in a place of crisis.

Experience of successfully engaging with children and young people with challenging behaviours and/or complex needs
~ Experience of managing difficult conversations, face-to-face and over the phone
~ Able to build trusting relationships with children and young people, enabling them to develop new skills and make their own informed choices
~ Knowledge and experience of quality record keeping and use of data recording systems
Level 4 mental health, youth work, social work or equivalent qualification or experience
Knowledge of child development and of mental health issues and services
94 (FTE, pro-rata for part-time)
Hours : 16 to 21 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Place of Work : Southampton, Portsmouth and Hampshire Locations / Hybrid Working
