Responsibilities

  1. Assisting in the training and development of Estimators and Assistant/Graduate Estimators
  2. Assist in the undertaking of PDP's with all direct reports and to drive through actions/activities identified in the individual's development plan
  3. Assisting in the development and management of the bid budgets to ensure they are kept within budget
  4. Carrying out regular tender reviews
  5. Reviewing the risk register on bids
  6. Assist in the reviewing of inflation calculations
  7. Developing the cash flow on bid
Experience & Skills
  • Between 5-15 years' experience in construction
  • Must have strong analytical and numeracy skills to accurately evaluate detailed specifications, cost and risk.
  • Must be detail orientated
  • Must have a detailed knowledge of the latest processes, materials, and costs. In addition, they should be familiar with Conquest/Causeway/Coins or similar estimating software.
  • Working as part of a team, they should be a good communicator and have good time-management skills and be able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Qualifications and Training - Ideally professionally qualified RICS / MCIOB or similar
