In this role, your main responsibility will be to deliver engaging and innovative drama lessons, where you will guide students through various theatrical techniques and help them master the art of storytelling. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons in line with the school's curriculum standards
- Encourage student participation and engagement through various drama techniques and exercises
- Assess and evaluate student performance, providing feedback and guidance for improvement
- Coordinate and direct school performances and productions, including rehearsals and overall production process
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to integrate drama into cross-curricular activities
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Stay updated on recent developments and trends in drama education, applying innovative teaching approaches when necessary
- Bachelor's degree in Drama or related field
- Relevant teaching qualification or certification, such as PGCE or QTS
- Proven experience teaching drama to primary or secondary school students
- Strong knowledge of drama techniques, theories, and performance skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging drama lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities
- Creative and dynamic approach to teaching and learning in order to inspire and motivate students
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
