We are looking to recruit a Sales Engineer to join our established Global Engineering Team to support locally and globally to grow our business. Within TR, our Engineering support is a key differentiator which sets us apart from competition.

Responsibilities
Be part of the Global Engineering Team, supporting the Strategic Business Directors, Strategic Account Managers, and other members of the TR Fastenings Sales Team with Technical, Engineering and Product Support to develop and grow TR sales across all business sectors.
Autonomously, in alignment with the agreed strategies, open and technically develop new applications and accounts, particularly through building relations with customer’s engineering, production, and quality teams, improving conversion success rates.
Give presentations and undertake workshops, VAVE, Line-walks, application reviews with customers to meet TR’s contractual obligation or to increase TR’s product offering or profitability.
Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, Commercial, and Quality disciplines on all projects and understand the supportive role of engineering.
Review and coordinate technical information from suppliers and contractors: understand and review technical drawings anticipating manufacturing, assembly, function, and recyclability requirements.
Be an active participant in the Engineering community, contributing to improvements, support and be supported by other team members, and be actively involved with team meetings.
Work closely with Quality and Operational roles to ensure we are responsive and timely with any customer issues.
Gain a solid engineering knowledge of the products that TR supply, through providing proactive support to Customers (OEM’s, Contract Manufacturers) and to TR colleagues within the Global Strategic Customer base.
Improve and develop professional skills through training, including project management, presentation and sales skills, product knowledge and design through approved training courses and vocal learning.
As a team player, communicate clearly in English verbally and in writing with customers and colleagues at all levels; other languages can be beneficial in communication with customers or other stakeholders.
Be highly self-motivated, organised, and task-driven; show the right attitude and be able to work both as an individual under your own initiative and part of a team.
Have a willingness to learn to expand knowledge to become more efficient and better in supporting the team.
Personal Profile:
Ideally graduated with an Engineering Degree preferably in Mechanical, Production, Design or similar Technology discipline, or other Technical Qualifications with tracked engineering experience.
At least have CAD 2D & 3D experience (SolidWorks or similar), high level of computer literacy including spreadsheet, database capability, excellent report writing and presentation skills.
Be a self-starter with a passion for detail and hunger for finding solutions or resolving technical challenges.
