Our client is a very well established mechanical engineering organisation offering complete project services to a variety of industries including Petro-Chemical, Oil & Gas, Power, Water and Pharmaceutical. They have gone through sustained growth year on year over the past few years and with long term contracts secured, therefore this role provides long term job security and growth opportunities.

The purpose of the role is to attend site visits and provide detailed manufacturing drawings for purchasing and manufacturing purposes. You will assist the companies CAD department in generating construction drawings for piping assemblies and structural steelwork. The role will include working closely with the both the site installation team and the workshop engineering department. A vast amount of experience in undertaking site surveys on petrochemical sites, power stations, pumping stations, gas plants etc will be required.

Create detailed manufacturing drawings to assist fabrication including, General arrangements, part drawings, developments, and templates.

* Produce Piping and Steelwork fabrication drawings in the form of Isometrics, General arrangements, and orthographics.

* Survey and produce design drawings for like for like equipment replacements and equipment modifications.

* Provide technical input during detailed engineering of projects.

* Provide support and input into the preparation of manufacturing work packs.

Knowledge of piping design and calculations is an asset plus a good ability to work with a 3D model and various tools is advantageous.

* Proficient in understanding petrochemical piping specifications with a strong emphasis on undertaking site surveys.

* The ability to use AutoCAD drawing software would be very advantageous but not essential.

* Sound Piping and steelwork experience within highly regulated industries including Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, and cryogenics.

* Must hold a full UK driving licence.

* Must be computer literate.
