Preston Lancashire, United Kingdom Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board Full time

Chief People Officer, Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board
Chief People Officer, Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board
Delivering a shift from an acute to a community-centred health and care system
Since July2022 NHS Lancashire and South CumbriaIntegrated Care Board (ICB) has held responsibility for planning NHS services, including primary care, community pharmacy and those previously planned by clinical commissioning groups (CCGs).
As well as the chair and chief executive, membership of the board includes partner members drawn from local authorities, NHS trusts / foundation trusts, and primary care. The board also invites regular participants from VCFSE, local Healthwatch, Public Health and adult and children’s social services.
Accountable to the people of Lancashire and South Cumbria and in charge of NHS money, NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB will ensure that the strategies developed by Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Partnership become a reality on the ground.
We oversee the health and care services for the 1.With a complex and challenging geography, and an extremely diverse population, we are supporting our partners and member organisations to deliver high quality care across the region. Our vision is to develop a community-centric health and care system, delivering good outcomes with narrowing inequalities, and we are looking for a Chief People Officer, whom, as a key Board member, will work with the wider leadership team to ensure that our ambitions are met, providing professional insight, expertise and system leadership, and keeping the interests of people living and working in Lancashire and South Cumbria at the heart of every decision that is made.
There is a Swedish proverb that says “Rough waters are truer tests of leadership. In calm water, every ship has a good captain.” The tide has changed many times in recent years and the waters have never been as rough. There are some difficult decisions ahead, and the incoming Chief People Officer will be pivotal in helping us to navigate the challenges of system recovery and transformation, requiring a refocus on workforce optimisation and efficiency, and alignment with new service delivery models, the embedding of our regional shared services arrangements, ONE LSC (hosted by East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust) and driving the shift in the ICB’s internal culture.
ensuring that we put our people and communities first, maintain a respectful and caring environment, are open and transparent in everything that we do, and unite our system partners and communities to improve care, and deliver and transform high quality services.
You will need to have the ability to promote opportunities for transformation and innovation and, above all, you will be committed to supporting staff to provide the best possible services to the people we serve.
The new Chief People Officer will understand the value of a truly integrated health and care system, with a real determination to ensure that health and care services are joined up, recognising the importance of working together with partners across Lancashire and South Cumbria for the benefit of our residents.
We are keen to welcome a talented and focused leader to our team who shares our commitment to delivering excellent patient care and improving the lives of people across Lancashire and South Cumbria. If you align with our values and possess the qualities we are seeking, please take a look at this dedicated microsite and contact our advisors at Alumni Global for further information.
