We’re seeking a Vehicle Technician to join our team of experienced and qualified technicians and frontline service professionals at Miles Continental Volkswagen in Christchurch, responsible for vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repair. Our team are integral to the success of our business, and if you’re ready to take on a challenge and join us on the pursuit of excellence then read on.

Miles Continental is an official Volkswagen representative with a long history of supporting our team and our customers. We’re also actively involved in our community, with recent partnerships including the support of Bone Marrow Cancer Trust through Rānui House, the Christchurch Marathon, and more. 

Miles Continental Volkswagen is a member of the Miles Group, one of New Zealand’s most successful independent motor groups, representing 15 respected vehicles brands, with 11 of those brands in Christchurch alone. 

This role is based in the heart of Christchurch, a beautiful and fast-growing city that offers a budding hospitality scene, walkable downtown, and lower cost of living. Christchurch is also your basecamp for outdoor adventures – find a sandy beach spot at a surf break 20 minutes from town or plan a backcountry mountain trek for your next weekend adventure. 

The ideal candidate:

We’re searching for someone who has skills in vehicle servicing and repair, while also maintaining the qualities needed to officially represent the Volkswagen brand at a high level. The right candidate will be highly motivated and committed to their successful career in the automotive service industry. 

You will need:

  • High standards of professional conduct
  • Organisational skills and a high attention to detail
  • A professional attitude, showing respect for vehicles, customers, and other team members
  • A sound knowledge of automotive servicing and repair

You will need a respectable New Zealand driver’s license to be considered for this role.
