Hybrid Project Manager/ Operational Business Analyst | £500 per day | London

Our client, a world-leading commodities trading company, is embarking on a transformation project that requires a blend of project management (20-30%) and business analysis (70%) expertise. The role focuses on identifying and resolving segregation of duty conflicts within business processes and IT systems. You will conduct change impact assessments, develop remediation solutions, and manage task transitions across teams and functions.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage project tasks, ensuring the effective delivery of outcomes alongside business analysis responsibilities.
  • Identify and assess segregation of duty conflicts among role groups and individual users, using existing reports and the business taxonomy.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of change impacts, including analysing the effects on staffing levels across role groups, teams, and functions. This involves significant data analysis in immature business processes and IT environments.
  • Design and implement solutions to address IT enhancements, process improvements, and operational model changes, which may involve reallocating tasks between roles and functions.
  • Work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, from senior executives to frontline operational teams, collaborating with business change teams to ensure smooth task transitions and successful implementation of changes.
  • Provide clear, timely updates on project status, ensuring accurate tracking of segregation of duty violation resolutions. Oversee project governance, scoping, and detailed planning processes effectively.
  • Lead all change management activities to ensure the project meets its objectives.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end trading processes, systems, and workflows.
  • Demonstrable experience in conducting detailed change impact assessments, including headcount analysis.
  • Expertise in organisational design with a focus on task transitions across role groups, teams, and functional levels.
  • Familiarity with access management projects, particularly in addressing segregation of duty violations within a front-to-back operational model.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst and Project manager. Experience leading at least two full project lifecycles in a hybrid project manager/business analyst role.
  • Experience delivering change within financial services or commodity trading industries.
  • Previous experience in consulting is advantageous, though not essential.
