We are currently seeking a Domestic and Sexual Violence Caseworker to play a vital role in our Newham Domestic and Sexual Violence Support Service. Your Role: What Will You Be Doing? The Newham Domestic and Sexual Violence Support Service is a community-based initiative that provides integrated support to individuals who have experienced: Domestic abuse Sexual violence Forced marriage Honour-based violence Female genital mutilation Violence related to sex work In partnership with local agencies, we deliver holistic, person-centered care through: Casework Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocacy (IDSVA) Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) Your responsibilities will include: Delivering tailored support through safety planning and risk assessments Conducting one-to-one sessions to empower survivors Building strong relationships with community and statutory organizations Contributing to good practice and policy development Promoting service user involvement through events and consultations What Do You Need to Bring? We’re looking for candidates who can demonstrate the core skills required for this role and align with our values and mission. Key Qualifications: Experience working with vulnerable individuals, especially those involved in sex work Strong understanding of the challenges they face Ability to support individuals who have experienced trauma Excellent verbal, written, and IT skills Knowledge of safeguarding issues and their practical application Familiarity with health and social care services and the legal framework related to sex work A valid driving license Please note: In line with Section 7(2) b & e of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975, this position is open to women only.
