Job Description

Interim Chief Technology Officer

Renoir is proud to partner with a leading software provider for the insurance industry, based in Europe. Working closely with their customers, they develop solutions for the insurance market of the future and create an ideal environment for agile work processes.

We are urgently recruiting for a Senior Technology Advisor to support their co-CTOs and the leadership team in developing and challenging the long-term technology strategy. You would be responsible for ensuring the long-term continued high standard of software quality, data and cyber security, and R&D operational practices.

Responsibilities:

Develop a comprehensive technology strategy that supports the company’s long term goals

Collaborate with the product management function to define and prioritise the product roadmap

Provide expert advice on emerging technologies, key risks, and industry trends

Advise on critical infrastructure and security considerations

Ensure the security, reliability, and resilience of the software to remain competitive

Promote long term scalability and efficiency of the R&D from a performance perspective

Simultaneously ensure long term profitable growth

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, or a related field

10+ years of experience in multiple technology leadership roles (CTO or similar)

Proven track record in developing technology strategies and managing data security

Experience in designing and working with offshore resources

Experience in building product roadmaps

Relevant experience in the Insurtech or Insurance industry would be advantageous

Skills Required:

Strong understanding of software development life cycles and agile methodologies

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment

Ability to be a trusted advisor, partner, and sparring partner for management teams

Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem solving

Strong ability to balance short-term demands with long-term objectives
