Wind Tunnel Operations Engineer

We have a new opportunity to be part of our Wind Tunnel Operations team in the role of Wind Tunnel Operations Engineer .
Working as part of the Wind Tunnel Operations group, you will undertake a range of projects and activities to provide technical support to our brand-new, state of the art wind tunnel.
Your primary role will be providing operational and first-line support to the wind tunnel and its associated systems, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for the smooth technical operation of the facility.
Along with the operation and maintenance of the facility you will also be responsible for:
Assemble, install, help diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems within the Wind Tunnel, on the model and R&D test rigs.
Record data and document experimental methods, configurations, and procedures.
Assist with stock control and spares inventory record keeping.
Support to the systems and data engineers with analysis and recording of data.
Wind Tunnel systems and aerodynamic testing.
Other high-level motorsport or automotive research and testing environments.
Mechanical Engineering.
Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
Systems Engineering.
Previous experience with wiring harnesses and electronic components, along with data acquisition software knowledge would be a significant advantage.
The ideal applicant must possess excellent practical and technical skills which can be applied to a range of equipment types, from heavy plant to sensitive instrumentation, a strong background in engineering, as well as being able to communicate effectively to a variety of people and the ability to work under considerable pressure.
The role demands a flexible approach to working hours including shift work and occasional weekends.
