About The Role

The role will require you to provide clear, detailed written advice on a variety of litigation matters including enforcement proceedings and prosecutions. You will have the opportunity to attend court to represent Dorset Council and you will be supported to develop your knowledge and skills. Good communication skills are essential and you will assist in providing training to our internal clients. Drafting legal documents and undertaking research is essential for the role

Further Information

This is a full time role at 37 hours per week.

This post involves working with children and/or vulnerable adults and/or having access to significant information about them. It will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check. See our policy on the employment of ex-offenders .

This post requires significant travel. You must have a vehicle (or transport we deem suitable) available for use as needed.

This role is UK based and we will need to establish your Right to Work as part of the appointment process.

About Us

We are a successful Litigation team involved in interesting and varied legal work which contributes to making a positive difference to the residents of Dorset. The team is supportive team of six with Senior Lawyers, Lawyers, a paralegal and a support officer. The team meets weekly to discuss and review cases, with regular 1:1's with your line manager.
