Currently recruiting for an experienced Well Construction Team Lead on a contract basis for an E&P company based in central Aberdeen. It is an initial 6-month contract position, and the company are only considering PAYE contractors for this particular role.
The Well Construction Team Lead will provide technical and operational assurance for the Wells Department. The post holder will work with the overall operational and engineering teams to increase safety performance and efficiency in well delivery.
Reporting to the Wells Manager, the Well Construction Team Lead will have the following main duties and responsibilities:
Providing assurance to Wells Project Teams as Well Construction Technical Authority by reviewing BoD’s, Risk Assessments, OMAR Notifications, Drilling/Completions/Workover/P&A programmes and MOC’s.
Providing technical support to Wells Project Teams by attending well related reviews – design meetings, BoD meetings, DWOP’s, rig readiness meetings etc.
Technical input into vendor supplier documents and tender reviews.
Identifying and evaluating appropriate new technologies that can reduce risk, time and cost.
Assisting in preparation for regulatory compliance audits and assisting in responding to HSE, OPRED and NSTA recommendations.
Managing Wells Technologist & Performance Analyst (improving performance data recording/metrics).
Managing Subsea Team Lead & Completions Team Lead to ensure wells related due diligence conducted – BoD’s, Risk Assessments, OMAR Notifications, Drilling/Completions/Workover/P&A programmes and MOC’s.
Current/valid offshore certification would be preferred.
Previous experience in a similar Well Construction Team Lead type role, directly within the North Sea oil and gas industry, is essential.
Extensive discipline specific design and operational experience within the wells field is essential.
Experience in supervising adherence to wells management systems would be preferred.
