We are looking to recruit a n Engineering Lead to fill a key role located in our Sheffield plant.

Role Summary:

  • Business Development (site development, from a growth , manufacturing technology, packaging technology)
  • Leading a small team, and working with external to the site stakeholders, you will defining the future for the factory, looking strategically, developing our Vision 2030 roadmap that ultimately feeds into the Engineeri ng element for delivery .
  • The engine for transformation, responsible for the development, generation and ultimate delivery of the capital investment plan for the site. This is delivered through a team of Mondelez and contract project engineers.
  • Working closely with the factory manager, this is a strategic forward looking role , ultimately developing and then leading the delivery of a multi- million pound investment agenda for the site over the coming years .

The BDE Manager is a senior strategic role based in our Sheffield plant.

As a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, you will also play a key part in the transformation of the site.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Lead and champion Site Engineering best practices utilising IL6S and I2M/IM methodologies,
  • Lead the roll out of the IIM pillar in support of the overall implantation of IL6S
  • Define and agree Capital Investment plans with the confectionary category, and lead capital spend and phasing across the cluster.
  • Execute capital projects Right First Time, with Vertical Start Ups to the highest standard of Safety and Quality.
  • Support Site Strategic Plan/ Annual Contract creation: Support the Plant Manager in developing the site strategy andplant road maps (Vision 2030).
  • Lead, coach and develop the talent of the BDE organisation .
  • Provide effective conversion change coordination including project costing, timing and capital requirements, applying engineering best practices, most efficient use of plant capability and capacity while maintaining high-level customer service.

  • Strong Safety & GMP standard s – experience of managing large projects
  • Strong operational & manufacturing experience in the FMCG industry with experience in TPM-Total productivemaintenance, 5s, LEAN, 6 sigma tools and concepts
  • Good understanding of end-to-end processes in the manufacturing and business environment; workingknowledge of commercialization process (I2M);project leadership / management skills and technical andfinancial aspects of the business
  • Strategic thinking, while having ability to excel in leading tacticalprograms
  • Highly action oriented, drive for results, innovative, challenging actual set-ups, entrepreneurialability
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment

Education and Experience:

  • University education in Engineering, subject area.
  • Fundamental know-how and experience in food processes and products required .
  • Good knowledge of technical and financial affairs required .
  • Experience within production and working experience managing teams/projects.
  • Extensive experience within Engineering
  • Strong communication and negotiationskills to manage cross-functional interfaces required .
  • Analytical and conceptual skills required .
  • Strong project management and organisational skills required .
  • Creativity to provide smart solutions at lower cost required .
  • New product launch, commercialisation, and I2M process skills preferred.
  • Idea Leadership, Business Acumen preferred.
