The client:
A unique opportunity has arisen with a leading global insurance and reinsurance firm for an insurance lawyer with generalist experience.
This individual will become a crucial member of the legal team, advising senior stakeholders across the business globally.

Key responsibilities
Working as part of the global legal department advising senior stakeholders on range of matters.

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating general commercial contract and insurance specific contracts
Supporting the business with corporate, governance, data privacy, complaints handling legal matters etc.
Provide counsel on regulatory developments impacting the business
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Providing legal training to the business when required.
Liasing with external counsel when required.

The successful candidate
Qualified lawyer with 4-8 years' experience as a lawyer gained in-house and or in private practice
Regulatory knowledge in the UK and/or EU would be a plus
Solid understanding of insurance law would be highly preferable but not a prerequisite
