Start Date: September 2024 Locations: South Croydon (Primary & Secondary Sites) & South Norwood (Secondary Site) Duration: Long-Term Contract: Monday - Friday (Full-Time) Daily Rate: £100 per day The Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and social development of pupils aged 5 to 19 years (Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5). These roles are based in schools catering to children and young people with Social, Emotional, Mental Health & Behavioural Difficulties and additional Learning/Special Educational Needs, including Autism. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting students in their educational and social development. Providing support inside and outside of the classroom to engage students in various activities. Working 1:1 with students, offering the necessary time and support for their learning. Supporting class teachers by helping to implement lesson plans and managing classroom dynamics positively. Leading small groups of students in defined activities. Building strong student-teacher rapport to foster a positive learning environment. The ideal candidates will have:

  • ️ Experience working with Learning Difficulties, SEMH, and/or EBD.
  • ️ Experience managing Challenging/Confrontational Behaviour.
  • ️ Experience working with children and/or young people.
  • ️ A valid and Enhanced Child or Child and Adult DBS check registered on the update service.
