Our client create luxury furniture for residences, yachts, and private aircraft worldwide and due to continued growth are looking for an Estimator to work alongside their Senior Estimator.

Responsible for estimating bespoke furniture and artwork wall panels, this would suit an experienced cabinet maker looking to use their making knowledge and skills to transition into an estimating role. Full training can be given in estimating if needed although you will already need to be IT literate including being able to use MS Excel.

The role will also involve:

  • Providing support to sales, design and project managers from enquiry through to installation.
  • Accurate assessment of the material quantities, processes and labour required to construct furniture.
  • Understanding and interpreting drawings (2D and 3D CAD models, renderings, visuals and sketches).
  • Producing written technical specifications, pricing documents and revising quotations.
  • Researching new materials and suppliers when needed.
  • Placing of orders and management of suppliers.


Skills and experience needed for the Furniture Estimator role:

  • An ability to understand and interpret technical drawings.
  • Over 5 years experience within fine furniture making.
  • Self-motivated with strong organisational skills and a methodical approach.
  • Time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritise workload from a variety of different sources.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective, strong, and professional working relationships at all levels.

In return our client can offer a Permanent, full-time position. Monday to Friday 8am - 16:15 (37.5-hour week).
