Role description

ICE is seeking a seasoned sales professional to lead global sales, go-to market strategy and be accountable for the global growth of ICE’s Sustainable Finance Data & Solutions. This is a highly strategic and visible role, where you and your team will be responsible for helping financial institutions integrate climate and ESG risks and opportunities into their business operations, investment strategies and risk management, as well as assisting with TCFD-aligned and other regulatory disclosures.

You will build and manage a high-performing sales team of Sustainable Finance Solution Specialists, develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, and contribute to the development of our overall Sustainable Finance business strategy. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Climate and ESG industry and competitive landscape, excellent sales and leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional results.

You will work in close partnership with our Global Sales team and other members of Sustainable Finance product, R&D, data and marketing teams to position ICE uniquely as a leader in the sustainable finance segment and to advance the overall mission of accelerating the adoption of sustainable finance solutions among institutional investors.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Sustainable Fiance Solution Specialist sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
  • Develop and implement the global sales strategy for our Sustainable Finance products and services.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance data, identify areas for improvement, implement actions to address, and regularly report sales performance to leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and product team to develop effective sales campaigns, collateral, and messaging.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and client meetings.
  • Develop and manage senior-level relationship with asset owners, asset manager, banks, wealth managers, and corporates.
  • Represent ICE effectively, with comprehensive knowledge of our sustainable finance products, methodology, commercial terms and contracts, and product setup and delivery.
  • Identifying opportunities in other business segments.
  • Work closely with sustainable finance product team to integrate client feedback into product improvements and expansions.
  • Report to Vice President of Global Relationship Management

Skills/attributes:

  • In-depth understanding of the sustainable finance industry and the companies operating in this market, emerging business and regulatory issues, and existing relationships that can be leveraged into new business.
  • Experience with the entire sales process, including lead generation, relationship building, negotiation, contracting and deal closing.
  • Priority focused and ability to hold team to high levels of accountability to delivery on sales targets and goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present well, organize thoughts and clearly articulate points and to communicate with colleagues and a sophisticated client base.
  • Solid and collaborative problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Extensive experience in sales coupled with strong experience in sales of sustainable finance/ESG products.
