London, United Kingdom Griffin Full time

The Finance team

Like most of Griffin, the Finance team is growing. If successful, you will be our 6th member working directly alongside our CFO and Head of Finance, as well as working closely with other functions of the business

You’ll have a real and meaningful impact on the success of the Finance function and wider business as we lay the foundations of the future of global financial infrastructure. We intend to continue to grow the Finance team as a central part of the business, being somewhere the Board can rely on to support strategic planning. The team will be thought leaders in relation to finance, regulatory, planning and strategic matters.

Who are you

The ideal candidate for this job will have most of the following:

  • A minimum of 5 years in banking reg reporting, preferably within the UK
  • Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, etc)
  • Ability to produce “banking” reg reporting for the PRA
  • Ability to communicate with our engineering and product teams on how to implement new external software

We’re hybrid-remote, and most of your colleagues will not share an office with you on a day-to-day basis. This means you should also have:

  • A high degree of comfort adopting new software tools for document drafting, collaboration and communication.
  • A love of writing - we have a major amount of written documentation that you will be contributing to, and we place a high degree of importance on clarity and readability (you can find out more here about how we write )

N.B. we’re open to hiring at “head of” level for the right candidate.

What will you be doing here?

As a Regulatory Reporting Manger at Griffin, you will...

  • Run the daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reg reporting process and make submissions to the Regulators
  • Take the lead in producing key regulatory documents, such as the ICAAP
  • Provide expert advice on regulatory related matters and key ratios to Finance, Treasury and the wider business
  • Work closely with product, engineering and the rest of the business to continually grow and improve our reg reporting systems and practices.
  • Continue to help define, design and test the new reg reporting processes & outputs as new requirements become relevant
  • Perform horizon scanning and evaluation for new regulatory requirements
  • Continue to build out our reg reporting team by hiring and managing further team members
