As part of their ongoing efforts to maintain operational excellence, they are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to support electrical engineering projects throughout their factory facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to their continued success by ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our electrical systems and equipment.

Position Overview:

The Electrical Engineer will play a key role in supporting electrical engineering projects across our factory facilities, with a primary focus on installation, validation of calculations, and testing of electrical equipment. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that electrical systems and equipment meet regulatory standards, operational requirements, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Support: Assist in the planning, design, and execution of electrical engineering projects, including new installations, upgrades, and modifications to existing electrical systems and equipment.
  2. Installation: Oversee the installation of electrical systems, equipment, and components, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
  3. Validation of Calculations: Verify and validate electrical calculations, including load calculations, voltage drop calculations, and short-circuit calculations, to ensure the proper sizing and functionality of electrical systems.
  4. Testing: Develop and implement testing procedures for newly installed or modified electrical equipment, conduct performance tests, and analyse test results to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  5. Commissioning: Participate in the commissioning process for electrical systems and equipment, including functional testing, startup procedures, and system integration, to ensure proper operation and performance.
  6. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems and malfunctions, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime and ensure continuity of operations.
  7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all electrical installations and modifications comply with relevant regulatory requirements, building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  8. Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of electrical designs, specifications, drawings, test procedures, and equipment manuals, and ensure that records are updated and accessible for future reference.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements in electrical engineering practices, systems, and procedures.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required; Master's degree preferred. Experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, standards, and practices. Proficiency in performing electrical calculations and analysis. Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and instrumentation. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
