Finance Consultant for PMI

We are seeking a Finance Consultant specializing in Post-Merger Integration (PMI) to provide support in running a financial workstream for integrations.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of facilitating the seamless integration of financial systems, processes following mergers and acquisitions, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to optimize financial performance, and mitigate risks associated with M&A activities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the financial aspects of post-merger integration projects, including financial due diligence, synergy identification, and integration planning.
- Develop and implement integration strategies to harmonize financial processes, systems, and reporting structures.
- Partner with finance, accounting, and operational teams to assess the financial impact of integration initiatives and drive alignment with strategic objectives.
- Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the performance of acquired entities, identify areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of post-merger integration processes.
- Provide expert financial guidance and support to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, throughout the integration lifecycle.
- Collaborate with external advisors, legal counsel, and other third-party stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in managing financial integrations is a must.
- Proven experience in finance roles with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, post-merger integration, or corporate development.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and valuation methodologies.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to lead complex integration initiatives from planning to execution.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and influence decision-making.
- Experience in Financial Technology (in particular, experience with ERP consolidation) is preferred.
- Strong exposure to the revenue side especially in the software industry would be nice to have.
- Certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
