Project Based/Office Based, with flexibility for occasional remote working

We are looking for a experienced and talented Quantity Surveyors to assist the Commercial Team with quantity surveying duties in conjunction with other team members and provide effective financial and contractual control on all contracts allocated within the London Business. This position is project-based, with flexibility for occasional remote working.

Our partners in construction are an Investors in People Platinum employer providing national construction services to private and public sector customers across a range of markets. They are one of the UK’s most successful Tier 1 contractors. Contribute to achieving the appropriate commercial result through the provision of accurate financial reporting
~ Manage subcontractor supplier accounts, financially and contractually, in order to secure full entitlements under the contract
~ Provide support to the site team on contract requirements
~ Place subcontract orders in accordance with the main contract and manage subcontractor accounts ensuring payments are timely and correct and any other commercial issues are resolved
~ Monitor subcontractors against programme
~ Assist in the production of cost value reconciliation reports and forecast cash recovery and ensure that both are kept In line with target
~ Operate the systems that are in place to provide the information necessary to manage the contract
~ Ensure all customers and stakeholders have an exceptional customer service and work to achieving Perfect Delivery on all projects
~ Support and coach other team members’ demonstrating commercial and contractual awareness
~ Liaise with the customer, customer representatives and other third parties on commercial issues, including agreement of variations, claims and additional payments
~ Financial closure of projects ensuring all costs and value are allocated in correct systems in accordance with financial timetable.

As an experienced Quantity Surveyor, you will have a good understanding of construction techniques and a BSc or HND (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent commercially related subject, and/or RICS Membership.
You should have strong knowledge of Collating and / or producing site records necessary for interim and final account payments and cost reports, including materials received records, understanding of period cost reporting, experience with COINS.
