Intertek Electrical are currently looking for a Material Testing Lab Analyst to be based in Milton Keynes. This is an important and exciting opportunity as Intertek looks to grow its engineering team to meet market requirements.
The role's key purpose is to complete electrical safety evaluations for Intertek's global client base. Working within the Intertek Electrical UK team, the senior test engineer would work closely with clients to evaluate their products and documentation to ensure they meet specific requirements of the applicable test standards. The role will also involve working across all departments within UK Electrical, providing technical support to operations, sales, and marketing.
Minimum qualification English, Maths and a Science based GCSE (or equivalent), but relevant experience will be considered
Good IT Skills, experience with excel, word and data retention systems
Hands on experience in sample preparation and / or test rig building
Good laboratory skills and manual dexterity
Experience and / or qualification in microbiology / cell culturing
Degree level education or equivalent experience in a lab-based science subject
Experience of working in an ISO 17025 and ISO 14001 laboratory
Ensuring timely logging of samples, communication to clients and preparations of materials and samples to be testing in the laboratory
Planning and organising project workload based upon business priorities and specific project deliverables.
To report daily, weekly and monthly progress on projects to your line manager
Taking responsibility for maximizing efficiency of laboratory time and equipment, to achieve the required quality and timeliness of reports.
Providing information on project content, timelines and schedule to customers
