GSL Education invites enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable individuals to apply for the position of Cover Supervisor to join one of our vibrant, forward-thinking and co-educational school in Washington. Cover Supervisors are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure classroom environment, identifying and addressing any hazards or risks, and responding appropriately in emergency situations.

They ensure that students are engaged in learning activities, maintain discipline, and uphold the school's behaviour policies.
While they may not be responsible for teaching new content or providing instruction, they facilitate learning by guiding students through activities, answering questions, and help as needed.
They may provide support and encouragement to students who require assistance, while also monitoring behaviour and managing any disruptions.
Previous working experience as a Cover Supervisor within an educational setting.
Relevant qualifications or training in Education, Childcare, or a related field.
Empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students facing academic or behavioural challenges.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
