WHAT TO EXPECT

Join our team of next generation thinkers here at JLR. As a Quality resolve engineer, you will bemresponsible for resolving and triaging high hurt Powertrain customer issues by interface with Cal and Control’s SME’s, Quality lead engineers and the Market (LPE); projects are identified through customer service data including GCM (TA’s), DOTA, Service network and IQM. These can vary in scope from one off issues to systemic issues affecting the whole fleet.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to get an understanding of the Electrified Powertrain system, interactions between modules and hardware, and big data analytics. You will be w orking really close to the customer, improving customer experience and have a big impact on end user. You will have the opportunity to get broad experience across the whole of calibration and have a lot of development opportunities to progress within the organisation.

Key Accountabilites and Responsibilities

As a Quality Resolve Engineer, you will develop a technical partnership with the Quality Lead Engineers and SMEs to enable delivery of quality projects, projects to be resolved along 8D framework with particular focus around D2-D4 steps for this role, and performing in market assessment of customer issues. Other key accountabilities and responsibilities will include Issue resolution within the team, supporting the team to create common processes and issue status reports, manage and perform data analysis and assist with software validation, and supporting and presenting at regular Quality Showcase

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Understand the principles of powertrain control
  • Basic understanding of powertrain systems (ICE, P-HEV, BEV)
  • Experience in data driven technical reporting
  • And finally, the ability to effectively engage and influence to create successful outcomes to queries and activitiy.
