Our Client are a leading Scottish food processor, they are currently seeking an experienced Site Technical Manager for a high care food factory environment in Morayshire, Scotland.
The Site Technical Manager will form part of the site Management team and will report to the Technical Director. They will lead the Factory Technical function on site ensuring that the factory operates at the highest level of compliance with customer and legislative requirements while working to maintain extremely high-quality standards and service delivery.
Technical Director, legislative bodies, external contractors, customers, Operations, NPD, Commercial, Training Department, Supplier and Customer Lead.
Managing Food Safety, Integrity, and Quality Audits (e.g., Ensuring that the site takes a professional approach to Food Safety & Quality and is legally compliant in everything we do.
The management, analysis, and reporting of Factory Technical KPI’s.
Work collaboratively with the sites operations teams to promote a positive culture of food safety and quality.
Managing the daily Factory Technical QA Team: training, development, tasks, etc.
The management, analysis and reporting of Factory Technical KPI’s.
The management of Taste Panel: training, sensory training, procedure, work instruction, schedules, attendance, non-conformances, reviews and trending.
Factory Allergen Management – Implementation of controls and adherence to procedures/standards.
Food Safety Plan (HACCP) team Leader
Leading investigations and root cause analysis following non-conformances
Conducting staff training and briefings when necessary
To perform tasks that are of a reasonable request in line with the technical department reporting any breaches in Food Safety or Quality to the Senior Management Team.
The above is not exhaustive and you may be required to perform other duties within the department/departments (training permitting), or undertaking other reasonable tasks as required by the business.
Food Safety Standards
Technical Standards in a food manufacturing high care environment
HACCP training level 3 or higher
Food hygiene level 3 or higher
Project Management Skills
IT literate – Microsoft Office including Excel and Power Point
Problem solving and generation of solutions, escalating to senior level as appropriate.
