As Social Value Manager, you will be at the heart of this mission—leading social value strategies that create jobs, boost local skills, support community initiatives, and drive long-term economic growth. What You'll Be Doing As the project's Social Value champion, you'll shape and deliver initiatives that ensure social, economic, and environmental benefits are embedded at every stage. You will: Develop and implement a comprehensive social value strategy aligned with client objectives and government frameworks Track, monitor, and report on key metrics—local employment, skills development, community engagement, and more Work with procurement teams to ensure social value requirements are built into supply chain contracts Cultivate strong partnerships with stakeholders, community groups, charities, and educational institutions Produce clear social value performance reports for senior leadership and external partners Drive compliance with the UK Social Value Act and all project KPIs Promote diversity, inclusion, sustainability, and responsible business practices throughout the project About You You'll succeed in this role if you bring: A degree in Social Value, Sustainability, Community Development, or a related field Experience delivering social value on major civil engineering or infrastructure programmes Strong knowledge of the UK Social Value Act and government reporting frameworks A proven track record in stakeholder engagement and building community partnerships Excellent communication, influencing, and project management skills Great to have: Experience in nuclear or high-hazard environments Familiarity with social value measurement tools (e.g., TOMs Framework) Membership of IEMA or similar professional body Working Environment This role is primarily office-based with occasional site visits. A full safety induction will be provided.
