Maintenance Contract Manager - State Highways | Roads at New Zealand Transport Agency, Canterbury

As our Maintenance Contract Manager , you will work with the Network Outcomes maintenance delivery contract and provide levels of service that meet both the technical requirements and the customer needs. The purpose of this role is to work with the highways maintenance and operations service delivery contractor to achieve the specified customer and technical levels of service.
Working alongside other Maintenance Contract Managers, Network Managers, and Journey Manager and other internal teams, you will play a vital part in contract management to assist in achieving the best outcomes for all parties, through collaboration and open communication. This is where your strong relationship management and negotiation skills will come to the fore. This is a varied role and other responsibilities include collaboration with contractors, promotion of the Network Outcomes Contract and monitoring the safety of the highway networks.
This position is based in our Timaru office and is focused on the South Canterbury Network Outcomes Contract.
Significant experience in contract management working with NZS3910
Experience of relationship management, including contracting and expert dispute resolution capability
Civil design capability and asset management experience
Our Transport Services Group keeps the transport system operational and optimised to meet the needs of all New Zealanders
We ensure the transport system can always be relied upon to provide safe, accessible and resilient journeys
We know what's happening across the transport system and are constantly responding to any impacts on user journeys
We have strong and trusted relationships with local communities and stakeholders and work together to ensure the transport system meets the current needs and future ambitions of the region
