Piping Engineering Team Leader

CEN Resources are currently working in partnership with a well known engineering and design firm who are extremely successful within its sector delivering concept and detailed design engineering to clients across the chemicals, petrochemical, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries. Due to the growth plans for operations in the central belt of Scotland, they are currently looking to recruit a a Piping Engineering Team Leader for onshore projects. This role only requires the relevant person to be in the office once a week with the rest of time being spent working from home.

We are looking for an experienced Piping Team Leader to take responsibility for technically directing the piping team to produce piping deliverables in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specifications, within the project schedule and budget.

In addition to the technical lead role they will also be involved in the development and growth of the process piping team, provide input in bids & tenders, managing sub-contractors and developing processes and systems relating to this new capability.

  • This is an excellent opportunity to play an influential role in establishing, expanding, and developing the broader Piping team and its capabilities within the business. You will be responsible for managing various deliverables and contributing to the ongoing success of this team and the delivery across various projects.
  • Due to the diverse sectors we operate in, you will gain exposure to an exciting range of projects, dealing with multiple disciplines and key clients of our client.
  • Supported by the wider team, you can blend your technical knowledge and innovative management skills, in establishing how this capability will operate, through establishing processes and systems. This will allow you to develop long-lasting solutions while continuously investing in your career growth.

Requirements

  • A proven track record of delivering Piping and Layout Design within onshore engineering projects, understanding piping specifications and design codes
  • Experience in Design Co-ordination and Clash Detection, discipline liaison and guidance.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in Plant 3D.

  • Appreciation of layout requirements for hygienic pipework would be preffered but not essential.
