Job Title: Premises Officer Location: Lewisham Secondary School Employment Type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Premises Officer to join our team at a Secondary School in Lewisham. The Premises Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security, and maintenance of the school premises. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the school premises to identify and address maintenance and security issues
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures
  • Coordinate with external contractors for maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents on the premises
  • Assist with setting up and clearing spaces for school events or activities
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to premises management
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in premises management or a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
