Shift Maintenance Electrician Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Shift Maintenance Electrician to join our client on a Permanent basis. The Role: Provide an operational and maintenance service to the department encompassing all aspects of engineering limited only by the competency of the team; this will include work of and with the opposite trade, working alone, working with contract resource and working with production. Job Duties:

  • Report to the Team Leader Engineering on all matters regarding the maintenance and operation of all plant and equipment.
  • Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance activities on all aspects of plant and equipment on site.
  • Assist in developing maintenance practices and procedures to improve and maintain the plant and equipment.
  • Keep records of work carried out via CMMS and update team on issues.
  • Ensure all legalisation relating to all systems is met.
  • Advise the team leader or section engineer of any spares used or required.
  • Ensure that all team members adhere to the agreed procedures and systems of working at all times and report any changes that prevent you working to these standards.
  • Have involvement in creating RA SWP & JTD’s.
  • Complete point of work risk assessments.
  • Reduce/eliminate all forms of waste from the department operations.
  • Involvement in plant improvement projects.
Requirements:
  • A recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship (Preferably HNC but minimum ONC level or equivalent).
  • Electrical experience of heavy manufacturing industry.
  • Sound plant engineering knowledge and experience of industrial systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to methodically fault find any issues to root cause and front line rectification.
  • Experience of working under permit systems.
Salary: £39,239.09 inclusive of shift allowance. This is a Full time, Permanent position
