Our client, a global leader in the design, manufacture, and hire of lifting, pulling, and deploying solutions, is recruiting for a Project Engineer to join their team in Turriff, Aberdeenshire.

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for the day to day delivery of small / medium scale projects across Manufacturing, Service, and Hire.
  2. Prioritize assigned projects and ensure on-time delivery, engage with all relevant stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met.
  3. Work in conjunction with Project Admin to Prepare and Maintain Project Documentation Register (SDRL’s).
  4. Work with Project Cost Accountant to collate and maintain Project Invoice Schedule. Ensure invoicing and forecasting are in line with the project schedule, supporting submission evidence is collated and issued on time.
  5. Support Accounts Payable where applicable to ensure payment is received in line with terms.
  6. Manage the project to ensure all key milestones are met. Be aware of commercial implications within contracts e.g., payment milestones and LD (liquidated damages), work with Contract Specialist as applicable.
  7. Ensure regular interface with clients/suppliers/key stakeholders to ensure project requirements are satisfied.
  8. Ensure equipment designs fulfill company and customer specifications, manage technical elements efficiently and effectively to ensure the best solution is provided within the confines of the budget.
  9. Provide technical support to offshore personnel as and when required / ensure key parties are engaged to provide technical support.
  10. Provide regular and timely reports to all stakeholders on overall project progress.
  11. Work with PCA & PC to prepare project cost sheets for monthly presentation to the BoM.
  12. Raise requisitions for required project materials, site personnel, and equipment engaging with PA’s & PC’s accordingly for support.
  13. Responsible for specification, issue and return of all equipment and materials, inclusive of any transportation requirements.
  14. Manage modification / manufacture of equipment for projects utilizing Service Requests.
  15. Arrange and witness client FAT equipment testing (as required).
  16. Creation of offshore information packs / procedures.
  17. Carry out project briefings and debriefings with offshore personnel.
  18. Review daily reports from offshore and projects.
  19. Prepare documentation for equipment loadout and shipping.
  20. Create and maintain the project plan/tracker and ensure that it is clearly communicated where applicable.
  21. To support the sales department in technical proposals and client meetings when requested.
  22. Gaining customer feedback by customer satisfaction using FPAL and client visits onshore, offshore, and overseas as required.
  23. Available for on-call rota.

Qualifications & Skills Required

ESSENTIAL

  • Previous work experience in a similar role.
  • Degree level qualification in Engineering or similar desirable.
  • Mechanical/Hydraulics/Electrical/PLC/Back deck/Offshore operational background.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • IT Skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project.
  • Self-motivated and uses initiative.
  • Excellent organizational/communication/time management skills.
  • Previous experience with back deck and mechanical handling equipment.
  • Experience in review of specifications, preparing workpacks, plans, and management of modifications.
  • Experience in FAT, mobilization/demobilization of equipment for offshore/overseas.
  • Previous experience of working offshore is highly desirable.
