In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, assessing, and reporting on the condition of bridges and highway structures to ensure public safety and compliance with industry standards. Perform routine and detailed inspections of bridges and other highway structures.
·Accurately identify and record defects, deterioration, and other potential safety risks.
·Ensure that inspections are carried out in accordance with national standards and codes of practice.
·Use advanced inspection technologies, including drones and platforms like MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms).
·A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent experience).
·Knowledge of bridge and highway structure inspection techniques, standards, and reporting systems.
·Strong understanding of structural behavior and construction materials.
·Full UK driving license (county-wide or site travel may be required).
·Experience with bridge inspection software and technologies is a plus.
